Preparation and Feeding Instructions (Correct Hand-Feeding Method)
To ensure the safety of the chicks and proper nutrition, please follow the preparation instructions carefully:
- Determine the ratio: The powder-to-water ratio varies based on the chick’s age (newly hatched chicks need a very runny mixture, and the mixture gradually thickens as they grow).
- Mixing: Mix the powder with warm (not boiling) water and stir well until fully dissolved and no lumps remain.
- Temperature: Make sure the mixture is around 39°C (102°F) before feeding to avoid burning the chick’s crop or causing it to refuse food.
- Fresh meals: Prepare a fresh meal for each feeding session. Do not store leftover mixture for later use to avoid bacterial contamination.
